My best friend from high school, debate partner, introducer to the MITSFS and eventual MITSFS Skinner, roommate at MIT, for whom I was best man, has just written with the happy news that he is, as of Saturday, a grandfather!
(He's younger than me, by two months.)

(it's the only plausible explanation for someone your age being a grandparent...)
On the other hand, another friend from my high school days has a daughter who has, in the intervening years, somehow become older than either of us now. Not sure how that happened...
Then there is my brother who has been a grandfather for six or seven years now (I have a grandnephew who is the same age or older than my youngest nephew, my sister's son), which means he became a grandfather at my age or younger. In that case it was an extra early birth (my niece was barely 18 if that).
