Brother Guy's November Travels

November 9: Philadelphia, Villanova University: Vivian J. Lamb Lecture on Science and Religion: "Creation Stories." Driscoll Auditorium, 4 pm. This is a big deal -- I plan to wear my suit! I may have some free time on the 10th to visit with friends in the area.

November 12: Raleigh, North Carolina: Sigma Xi Annual Meeting, panel discussion on Science, Culture, Religion and Ethics. How we will cover all of that with three panelists in just one hour boggles my mind.

November 16: Washington, DC: Georgetown U. chapter of Alpha Sigma Nu, Jesuit Alumni Association.  "Why Does The Pope -- Or Anyone Else -- Need An Astronomer?" Probably not open to the public, but I will be in town for a few days before the talk.

November 18: Scranton, Pennsylvania: University of Scranton. 8:30 pm. "Adventures of a Vatican Scientist" This is a Friday evening on campus, I will be lucky to get ten people in the audience.

November 22: Orlando, Florida: University of Central Florida. Lunchtime talk on meteoritics

November 24: Thanksgiving with my parents and nephew! Go Lions!

December 2: Dallas, Texas: Texas Astronomical Society, Holiday Awards Banquet... time, place, and title TBD

December 3: Dallas: University of Dallas Landregan Lecture "Why The Vatican Studies Meteorites" Lynch Auditorium, 7:30 pm. Public lecture. I head back to Rome the next day.
